Flyleaf to a Nights Embrace,

In this book, the world will become darker. The shadows will seem deeper, and you will come to crave the sun. You’ll start glancing over your shoulder as you stroll the block at midnight, and will run when you hear echoing footsteps….before you then realize they were your own footfalls.

The shadows of the night will become the nightmare you never thought it would be. When you feel a chilled finger trailing up your spine, a cold tongue lavishing your neck, and hair brushing your shoulders….you’ll know what’s to become of you, unlike now. Now the world is the simple mortal realm it always has been, but through these pages, you’ll come to understand the severity of being out after dark, and the nightmares that can befall you there.

Vampires….they thirst for your warm blood, when theirs runs blue and cold.

Vampires….they yearn for the air you breathe, when their chests are hallow.

They want only your skin, your blood, and your life, and if you give it to them willingly, nobody gets hurt….or at least, you won’t be around long enough to feel it.

Vampire hunters though, by some, are considered more dangerous than the vampires themselves.

Such as the Night-hunter in particular.

If you lived in her city, you would have seen her name in the papers. She’s well known by human, hunter, and vampire alike. She is infamous in all three circles for her thrill in the killing of her prey. She breaks any rule she needs to in order to accomplish her slaughtering means….anything she has to do, just to see that blue blood run.

By most, she is considered more vicious than those she kills.

This is no Harry Potter novel. There’s no “magic” to any of it. It’s just kill or be killed in this world, and the Night-hunter knows very well which side she stands on.

Until the line becomes blurred, and she can’t seem to find the line at all.
