Chapter 2 – You’re Icky…Or Not

Well, here it is! The second installment of You’re Icky…Or Not

This is where they’re teens and in Highschool…it’ll just summarize what’s happening in the 4 years in highschool! Meaning, they’ll be 13 when this starts!

Freshman year – First Day

Jade walked into the school with her black pull over sweater and bag and looked round, she wasn’t nervous, more annoyed than anything. Jesse walked in a few minutes after she had and spotted her at the office and scowled. He didn’t really like her. He walked over to the office and got his schedule, all the while avoiding looking at her. It stayed that way until the Christmas dance came up.

December 5

Jesse walked into the school and much to his shock, seen Jade talking to Martin Evans and Brandon, his brother and enemy. He stormed over and tried to stay casual. “Evans, bro…” he scowled, “Wright,” he sneered.

She looked him up and down in disinterest. “Brandon’s brother,” she replied and Jesse had to admit that hurt…his ego.

Jesse looked her up and down back before smirking, “Brandon…what are you two…sorry, three, talking about?” he asked, smirking at Jade.

She rolled her eyes and smirked slightly, “Well…they both just asked me to the dance, if you must know,” she said and Jesse gaped at her before shaking his head.

“No way…” he said disbelievingly.

“Yes way and I’m just trying to figure out which one I want to go with, now if you don’t mind?” she started talking to Martin and Brandon again while turning her back to him.

He scowled, “Fine…I’ll go and get a date too, then!” he snapped before storming off and then a thought struck him and he grinned deviously.

“I think I’ll ask Haylie, if you’re wondering, bro!” he called to Brandon and Jade cringed at the name before starting to scowl.

Brandon rolled his eyes and knew Jade was going to pick Martin, just to spite Jesse. “Sorry, Brandon, you know I gotta do this,” she said and smiled slightly at him.

He shrugged his shoulders lazily, “I’ll see ya guys there, then?” he said and Jade nodded her head with a small smile.

“Definitely,” she said and kissed his cheek quickly and started walking away.

Martin raised an eyebrow at him but shrugged and started walking away, “See ya, Brandon,” he said as he did.

Brandon waved and then was joined by one of his friends, “So?” he asked and Brandon shrugged.

“She chose Evans to spite Jesse cause he went to ask Madison who everyone knows hates Jade almost as much as Jade hates her,” he said aloofly and his friend tsk’d.

“That sucks, dude,” he said.

Brandon shrugged his shoulders with a grin. “Nah…it just goes to show you that she likes Jesse enough to actually want to spite him, ya see what I’m saying?” he said.

Aaron, his friend, shrugged his shoulders lazily, “If ya say so,” he said and they left for their first class.

Sophomore Year – Second Semester

Jade was walking and talking with one of her friends and wasn’t watching where she was going before running headlong into a running Jesse. They were both sent sprawled.

“Watch it, Warren!”

“Watch it, Wright!” they both yelled at each other while a couple of people laughed, having it been lunch time. They both stood up with help from their friends before storming away and shouldering each other roughly while doing so.

Jade scowled, “I can’t believe him! Ugh, I hate him!” she started to rant to her friends, although they knew better.

“Mhmm…” one friend said lazily before they got to the cafeteria. “You always rant about him, how come you just don’t tell him to never speak to you again?” she asked and gave her a raised eyebrow.

Jade scowled before her face softened and she sighed, “I have no freakin idea, dudette! I guess I like fighting with him…its fun,” she said and grinned a second later before getting into line. “And don’t you dare say I like him!” she added jokingly to her.

Her friend rolled her eyes and kicked the back of her leg, “I was going to but since you said not to…you like Jesse Warren and you know it!” she said and Jade just gave her this sarcastic smile before ignoring her.

Junior Year – Just before Christmas break

“So…you guys are moving to PG…?” Renee had started school and so had Rayne along with Jesse’s friends and Renee’s future boyfriend, Jackson, who she was talking to at that very moment.

Jackson nodded his head and sighed dramatically, “Yes…its all quite troublesome, actually…but pretty cool, I mean, we’re moving to P.G and away from this hick-town!” he smiled happily and Renee frowned.

“Yeah…but…we’re here…so it’s not as much a hick-town, is it?” she asked, giving him that hurt-puppy-dog look.

He faltered, “Well, no…it rocks ‘cause you guys are here, but still…it’s a small town with only a couple stores and restaurants…there’s not even a mall around here!” he said in his defense, along with the other guys’. She nodded her head and he sighed, “Well…you and Jay are supposed to be moving to P.G after this year’s over, right? Hopefully we’ll be in the same school!” he said, trying to sound hopeful.

Renee nodded her head, slightly downcast. He sighed and draped an arm around her shoulders, “C’mon, its not like we’ll never see you guys again, and we’ve got you guys on MSN, so its all going to be A-OK…okay?” he smiled a little at her.

She sighed, “It just sucks that my mom and dad won’t let me and Jay go with you guys…and Ray…and Jay-Jay…” she chuckled to herself, “Geez, you guys would need a new house, instead,” she said and they both laughed.

Jade squeezed her way in-between the two, “Shove a bum, will ya?” she said and grinned while draping her arm around the two.

“So…you guys are moving to P.G are ya? I’m pretty envious cause I’ve been waiting to get out of this hell-hole for a long time and then you guys live here for 2 years and then you leave, what’s up with that! Ah well…at least I’m getting rid of Jesse for now,” she said and grinned before the bell rang to signal lunch was over. “Welp, I’ve got to go!” she waved as she zoomed off to her next class.

Jesse was walking by her and looked, she didn’t notice and he went to the two people, who were his friends. “Hey…guys…” he said distantly.

“Eh…” the two replied.

“What’s up?” Renee asked.

“I’m confused…” he replied.

“About?”

“I like Jay…”

“Oooh…boy…”

“Yeah…”

“Well…you could be a man and tell her…” Renee said slowly.

“Are you kidding me! I’m a pussy!” Jesse retorted dryly before shaking his head, “I am not going to tell her…especially since she hates my guts,” he said.

“I don’t think she hates your guts as much as she did before…” Renee said and thought back to when Jade first started highschool, where she had thrown everything that reminded her of him out her window. (Not that anything in her room was his or ever had been his.)

“I know we’re friends now…but still…she still has that friend, slash, hate thing going on with me,” he said and then shrugged as the bell rang, “I’ll see ya guys later,” he added and walked away with his hands in his pockets.

End of school

“Taron! I HATE YOUR GUTS YOU PIECE OF SHIT! DIEEE!” Jade was stabbing Haylie's picture in her yearbook from the previous year with a pen.

“Holy shit, dudette…what’s your deal?” Rayne asked as she walked into Jade’s room.

“Good golly miss Molly, ya scared the FUCK outta me…” Jade yelped but then continued stabbing Haylie’s picture.

“Seriously dudette…what’s wrong?” she asked with a frown and Jade shook her head. “I see you’re refusing to answer…just do it and get it over with,” she said before plopping the bed beside her.

“Fine…I like Jesse, like hell he knows and he’s dating Haylie pretty seriously…just to get to me, no doubt,” she snarled and moved onto Jesse’s picture to stab.

“Ohmigawd! Are you actually admitting you like Jesse!” Rayne exclaimed at which Jade growled at her.

“If you’re going to sound like dear ol Hail…then go to hell…” she scowled and with one last stab, tore the whole page out and crinkled it into a ball before throwing it into the garbage.

“You need help,” Rayne commented before being thrown out of the room. She shrugged and went to Renee’s room. “Hey Nay,” she said.

Renee waved, “Hey,” she replied.

“Ya know what, ya know what, ya know what!” Rayne asked hyperly.

“Huh?” Renee asked with a yawn.

“Well…” Rayne dragged it out, “Jay just told me she likes Jesse!” she said and grinned when Renee raised an eyebrow at her.

“It’s kinda obvious…and he likes her…they’re both just too stubborn to admit it to each other,” Renee said and shrugged. “Ya wanna go for a walk?” she asked.

“Yeah…sure…we can go see the guys, if ya want?” Rayne offered.

“Sure!” Renee said happily and they both walked down the hall only to hear a scream and a thud. They both looked at each other before going to Jade’s room and opening the door. “Er…what’s going on?” she asked curiously while Jesse lay on the floor with a semi-concussion.

“She hit me, for no reason!” Jesse stuttered and tried standing up.

“No reason my ass! You climbed through my window, what the hell is that all about!” she yelled and put her foot onto his chest, affectively pinning him down.

“You hit me with that yearbook…what’s that all about!” he yelled back.

“It was freaking self-defense, you idiot! What normal person climbs through a window!” she yelled angrily.

“A person who wanted to surprise an enemy, that’s who!” Jesse retorted.

Jade raised an eyebrow, and nodded slowly, “Uh…huh…okay…go away dude…I’m not in the mood to be bugged by an asshole with no life,” she said coolly and pointed towards the window.

“You’re kidding…right?” he looked at her hand and then the window before looking back at her.

“Shit, no…you came in that way, you can go out that way…” she replied and started pushing him to the window.

“Fine, fine…” he got both his feet onto the mini-roof and walked down the slight slant to where the porch stairs were, where he’d then jump down, onto. “By the way…happy grad…too bad we won’t be going to the same school so I can bug you to death,” he said and then laughed when a shoe flew towards his head before he jumped down.

“Yeah…why aren’t you going to the same school?” Rayne asked.

“Do you honestly think I’d go to a school where he’s at! Besides…like I said in grade ten, I’m taking a year off…so I am officially not going to school for a year! Yea-ah!” she said in a mock-Lil’ Jon impression with a laugh.

“Great, then you can help me and Nay with our homework, booya!” Rayne replied with a laugh.

Jade rolled her eyes. “Yeah…like that will ever happen,” she retorted and slung an arm around Rayne’s shoulders. “So…how’s the love-birds?” she asked teasingly, referring to the two couples of Renee and Jackson and Rayne and Julius. “And how’s Meggy fitting in?” she added after a second of glowering from the two girls.

“First off…shut up about us…and secondly…she’s fitting in fine…I think Jase really likes her,” Renee said and flipped her hair over her shoulder, affectively slapping Jade with it.

“Please don’t go: Britney Spears’ hair,” Jade said and laughed while they walked down the hall to the outdoor freedom. (1)

Yeah…hopefully that wasn’t too rushed…it kinda seems that way in the beginning and slightly at the end but ah well…

1: I just watched “Totally Untrue History Of” and it had a segment on Britney Spears’ hair lol
