Paint me into the sunset
-
Brush me into the sunset, stroke by stroke.
Paint me a picture of romantic remorse.
Don’t leave and force me to come to the door.
Paint me into the sunset, stroke by stroke.
-
Colour my hair a golden blonde,
Let is shine like the dying sun.
Tint my skin a rustic tan,
Let my toes dig into the sand.
-
Paint me into the sunset, stroke by stroke.
Allow my eyes to wander and dote.
Hold me close, let it be known.
Brush me into the sunset, stroke by stroke.
This poemhas several different meanings. I wanted this to come across as aromantic, almosthappy piece, but some have said that this is a sad poem andI can see where they got the idea. Maybe'romantic remorse' justthrows them off.
And yes,'Colour' is spelled that 'sCanadian, just like behavior is spelled 'behaviour' over there. (ps. I'm notCanadian)
