What Dreams are Made of

Spinning, spiraling, circling, whirling

Thoughts inside my head

Sparkles, fountains, spirals, currents

Is this what dreams are made of?

The glitter of my imagination

Jumping, running, twirling, smiling

Is this what dreams are made of?

The happy times

The sad times

The easy times

The hard times

They all spiral together in the vat of night. Throw in a dash of glitter and a hint of lust.

Bending, breaking, soothing, waking

That’s what dreams are made of.

The joy in the stars,

The love in the light,

The anger with the morn,

The fear at night.

Braid them together,

Dip it in wishes,

Wash it in the sea,

Dry it in the breeze.

That’s what dreams are made of.

I honestly can't remember when I wrote this, but I have a general idea what it's about. You all know how dreams are just a jumble of impressions and feelings? You almost see nothing. That's kinda what I was trying to capture. So if it seems kind of random & scrambled, good, that means I succeeded.
