One morning I woke up and walked to a store. Stepping inside, my head was down. I lifted my head up to find everyone staring at me. What?? I was wearing my heels, a cargo pants rolled up along with a grey cami and a black leather jacket, coming from the hot weather outside. Don’t have to give me the eyes!
Taking my steps slowly. One by one. With every move I make, the shift of their eyes stayed with me. My sudden turn made their heart jump a beat. I slapped my hands onto the counter and stared at the man behind it. The terrified look on his face turned to a pale color, draining the blood to the back of his head.
I smiled. He loosened up and forced a smile back. With all my attention focusing on the victim in front of me, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around with a lithe movement, I nearly fell into this warm pool of brown eyes. Straightening myself, I shuffled my clothes.
“Can I help you, Miss?” he sang to me.
With a smirk on my face, I planted my attention to this…person. Bravery was a sure win. “I'm looking for something.” I said. I place my index finger to my chin in a thinking motion.
My eyes pointed up, stealing short, quick glance in his direction. “I need something sweet.” I went on.
He walked over to the rack of candy bars and plucked a Snickers. “Chocolate?” he insisted.
“No.” I answered sharply. “I…need something much more than that. So much more.” I lured on. Walking closer to him, just a few inches away. Going behind him, I whispered in his ear, “It’s called addiction.” The whisper was so soft…it brushed his ear and I was sure it made him shudder.
Snapping his fingers, “I’ve got many types of cigarettes. Marlboro or is it Camel?” Taking the two out for me to choose.
I took them from his hand and threw them aside. Pulling him close by his shirt, “This thing is a connection connected by two.” I smiled, looking in his eyes. I was so close, I could feel his body touching mines. Letting out of his shirt, I caught a glimpse of his six-pack.
“It’s sizzling hot.” I said aloud without noticing. Shit!
“Miss, I think you came to the wrong place. We don’t sell those things.”
“But I know you have it here.” I told him, firmly. The walk-in customers never left our side, still watching like audiences from a show.
Once again, I walked up to him, letting his deep brown eyes drown me out. I placed my cold hands onto his face, tracing the lines of his jaw. I licked my lips and smiled. I leaned in for my kiss. Our lips met and it was sweet like melted chocolate. Our hearts beat at the same pace, connecting us together as one. As I let go of him but he pulled me back for more, craving for my kisses like an addict.
“Babe, cut the acting, I think the customers are getting bored.” My boyfriend said after our lips departed.
“What? I’m sure they were entertained.” I replied slyly. “
