a grey october dawn and rain
on the rooftop like a lullaby rhythm
as all i want is to caress the calm
eclipsed across your face.

you said and pulled me in
that i smelled of Beautiful and milk chocolate kisses
of sun-drenched autumns and crisp fallen leaves.

but when i laid gentle lapping
against your tongue you told me you tasted yourself
like a lie, a mistake never meant to be --

tears that night
in the dark beside you as you pulled away
from me into yourself and i drifted off with wet cheeks to nightmares

of a mother who writes sin on her daughter with a blazing gaze
and a little broken boy who curls up in a lonely corner of society
whisper-screaming with shameless eyes that he's wrapped up trapped
in an alien body

a prisoner of reality, captives
of an arbitrary fish-bowl of Fate.
