My life ended the day I try to save her. Butterflies are precious here on earth. They had evolved to a form that was human. Men sought the butterflies to keep in servitude or as to their collection. Men, the ones responsible for no future. I would be another generation of these men, but I can't pursue an evil blood lust such as butterfly catching. Everyday I walk past a room of these butterflies to which my dad keeps for his collection. I see into their faces the fear and sorrow they feel everyday for being in the prison for their life. Quickly, the butterflies were becoming exstinct.

One day, passing a window, I saw her. The barren wasteland that was once my mother's garden, she just sat there and looked at a small flower. Perhaps the last of its kind. A touch, the field bloomed. The grass filled the barren wasteland and flowers grew to no end. She stood, opened her wings and began to soar.

She was so high, she was in bliss. The sky was a road to her life. She turned and dived with grace and precision. She was beautiful. I feared if father had seen her, then she would live as many of the butterflies do now. Quickly, I close the shade to hide the beauty of the butterfly.

My father, enjoying his wine in the library, read to himself. A shadow, he looked up. The shadow of the butterfly caught his eye. Quickly he grabbed the item to bring her down. He rushed to the field. My eyes caught him running. I had to save her. I followed.

He aimed. I rushed. She soared. BANG!! Too late. She began to fall. I ran to catch her. I caught her just in time. I turned to father, and gave him a look of anger. He had no remorse. Quickly, I ran to save the butterfly. Father in anger raised the item. I ran and ran and ran and...BANG!! My life ended the day I try to save her.
