A Fate Worse Than Death

With them to be forever happy. A little girl walks the streets wearing a hood. A flash. The rain pours on the streets. She begins to run. She stops to look at a photo. It’s her with her family. Their family house, a cozy abode. This is what she seeks. Another flash. She continues her search.

At last, she found it. She approaches the door. The father opens it. She holds out her hands as to say hello father. The father not recognizing the girl questions her motive. He then waves the girl away. The girl pulls out the photo and shows it to the father. The father did not see it as them and told the girl to leave. The girl began to cry as she pleads. The father turns away and closes the door. The girl takes a few steps before being seen by a ferocious dog.

The dog chased the girl and she ran. She ran and slipped only once. She was chased into the woods. As she runs, she slips and slid down a mud path. The path leads her to the river. The river’s current was strong and took the girl with it. The river leads to a waterfall. The girl struggled to swim away as fast as she could, but no luck. She goes over, a flash, then a splash.

The girl floated thinking about those who had forgotten her. Her family, her love. She wakes up to see her brother next to her. The boy had a fish tail like a mermaid. The boy was excited to see his sister. The girl smiled and she changed into a mermaid. Her parents, also mermaids, come to welcome the girl home. The family retreated to their photographic abode. The girl is happy that she did not suffer the fate worse than death.
