Before I Die

I want to sit in a grassy green field

And look up at our sky

To eat a picnic there with you

Right before I die

I want to travel abroad to Europe

Get in a plane and fly

To eat my salty peanuts with you

Right before I die

I know I’ll die some day and

I hope that I would have been content

To know that I did what I wanted

And that it was time well spent

I have a list of things to do before then

And I wonder if you’ll be there

To be with me when I learn and grow

And remember all the things we’d share
