Escapist (a nightingale named...)

I’m a nightingale named Solitude
Trapped inside realities cage,
Trapped and cornered
By crystal sharp iron bards,
Going insane, soon to break.

Angels circle around me,
Singing their precious melody,
Purity etched within their words
They sing of life’s elixir,
But I’m already tainted.

Dark chest of wonders, that’s my heart
A graveyard for murder and hate;
Secrets swallow me, sky devours sea;
I can hear the funeral bells,
Their chime isn’t far away.

I can hear the night whispering my name
Calling sweet words of sorrow,
“Follow me though the mirror,
You can still escape.”

I’m a nightingale named Escapist,
Realities cage has broken to pieces,
Shards scatter the stained Earth,
Now my wings stretch to the sky.

Farewell, it’s time to fly
Out of breath
Out of time
Away from this world.
