Hunting

The trickle of rain as it hits the ground and trees,

The rustle of grass and weeds as you slowly move through them,

The flap of wings as you stir the mourning breakfast eaters,

The bead at the end of your gun as you point it at your target,

The bang of the BB’s flying through the barrel of the shotgun,

The recoil of the gun hitting your shoulder,

The smell of gunpowder now mixed with the sweet smelling air,

The plop of a confirmed hit on the ground ahead of you,

The nice sound of the click from the gun as you eject the shell and sliding the new one into the break action hole,

These are just some of the sensations from Dove hunting.
