give me hair . . .

now my hair’s wet;
i’m a mophead through
with the kitchen floor.

now my shirt’s damp
on the back, red and
white cowboy/girl plaid
slick and sticking
to my bra clasp.

now i feel refreshed,
but sleepy (how showers
do that, you know) and
now i listen to stp and stare
at my spiderweb strands,
about ready to shave
it all off now.
