This bliss of here,

This paradise of now,

It must be a dream,

It cannot be real.

Don’t pinch me, please!

For if this is but a dream

I do not wish for it to end

For if this is nothing real,

Just a figment of my imagination,

I couldn’t bear to live again.

For this bliss is just too much.

The feel of your skin,

Brushing against mine,

Is enough to send me to the gates of paradise.

The warmth of your kiss

Catching my lips

In their beautiful embrace,

Is too good to be true.

But here you are,

Standing before me.

Holding me close,

To hear the beat of your heart,

To know we’re still alive.

Don’t pinch me please!

I don’t want this dream to end.
