Caressed by the Moon

It is that time of day again-

When all voices are held but yours,

The silent symphony of space

Plays virtuoso to my ears

And I drink the music,

Craving your metallic kisses,

--Your whispers shouting secrets

--To my infatuated soul.

By your side are your guards-

Deceptively dolce and fire-armed

But they cannot penetrate

The curtains of clouds

That enclose your celestial figure

With the fingers of Night.

Haste, I must remember:

Your incandescent lustre

And the milky ways you’re mapped out

For me, ladders climbing listlessly

To the ends of the sky.

In my inebriety I must, must

Create an indelible memory

Before you’re

gone

NOT THE POEM : ok - so in the first stanza those little lines : -- are meant to be spaces but my computer won't let me do that... grr

and does anybody please know how to separate the verses other than with those hulking great lines? i've tried the shift+enter thing but it never works..do you have to do something else too? i'd be eternally grateful if someone would let me know.
