Three haikus about flowers. And yes, I know that most of you readers consider Queen Anne’s Lace a weed, not a flower, but just bear with me.

Sat in the garden

With petals soft and blooming

Vivid entrancing

Marigold

Bright, sunny yellow

Diligent in chasing pests

A softened beauty

Fleeing from shovels

A neglected purple heart

Slighted elegance
