it is easier when i'm lost in a touch
(swimming in skin)
sweet-smelling, sun-crossed, white-flames
lying is so much simpler when you just avoid the truth.

know my habits like the back of your hand
fear eating away at the backs of my eyelids
(shallow breath rising late at night)
i want to go home, i said
(but i am home)

thought you were my and i was your
lost in the alley between two and three
(cause it's a wonderful life
and her favorite song)
my lifetime summed up in a telephone number

because i'm no stranger to
(never see her again)
dont think I dont know it when you
act like you've forgotten after all these
years

three out of four and i'm the fiver
(racing, racing, shallow, pain,)
interruption to that
S. O. C.
act like you've forgotten after all these
years

if you were my christian and i was your
satine
interruption to that
(stream of conciousness)
race; race; shallow; pain;

Don't think I've forgotten after all these years.
