Darkness creeps into my mind
Slowly the saneness slips away
Control is a forgotten memory
A thread of hope is slowly burning out

They reach out trying to pull me back
But this parallel me shuts them out
I desperately fight this change of plans
But this blackness has its own power

Sleeping Beauty had her spinning wheel
And Snow White her poison apple
But I, I have this searing fear
Terrifying darkness, blackness overwhelms me

I was reading Emily Dickinson yesterday in school and this is a product of that. :)
