I cling to you like a child,

I cling to you like a child,

But I’m so afraid to let go,

I know I’m in love with you,

So I’m done going slow,

Lets kiss right now,

And make everything right,

Nothing ever matters,

As long as you hold me tight,

I cling to you like a child,

What if you make me fall,

Will you be able to walk,

While I need to crawl?

I cling to you like a child,

And you seem to love me too,

So you let me be safe,

Am I using you?

I cling to you like a child,

You protect me in your arms,

You save me from the small things,

I’m out of the way of harm.

I cling to you like a child,

When will this end,

When will you make me grow up,

And stop holding my hand,

I cling to you like a child,

Don’t leave me while I’m here,

I’m too scared to let go,

I’ve got too many things to fear.
