This path that I had been traveling,
It was a road too often taken;
The beaten path.
Living everyday in ignorance; loveless.
But then you came into my life.
I was nervous, shy, and slightly confused.

Around you, I would laugh and smile.
I didn't realize exactly why then.
But soon enough, something filled my heart.
Something so familiar, yet so unknown.
It was a love I began to drown in.
Yet it became the very air that I breathe.

That love filled my entire being.
Right down to my very core.
You. Being so warm, friendly, and honest.
I love you with all of my heart.

I now walk the road not often taken,
