“And how is our patient,” the doctor said walkin into the room.

“A lot better,” I said smilin as I looked from Dre, to Angel, and finally the doctor.

He was a light skinned probably in his mid 30’s. He had a really great smile, with pretty green eyes. He was slim and he wore narrow glasses on his face. “That’s great,” he said picking up the clipboard at the edge of the bed, “Now it says you suffered from no oxygen,” he added scanning the clipboard.

“Umm, I think so…I’m not really sure,” I said lookin up at him.

“Ok…so lets check you out for a second,” he said puttin the clipboard back down.

“What?!” Dre screeched.

“No…no,” the doctor chuckled, “Just need to check her eyesight, and her memory.”

“Oh,” he said backing off and pickin up Angel.

Then the doctor walked up to me and pulled a small flashlight out of his coat pocket and put it up to my eyes. As I followed the light he asked, “So is that your little brother,” and I knew he was talkin bout Angel.

“Ummm no,” I said softly.

“Oh…nephew,” he asked.

“No…he’s my son,” I said lookin at the doctor.

“Oh…well he is very handsome,” he said lookin over at Angel who was sittin on Dre’s lap lookin back at us smilin a toothy smile. I smiled back at him and looked back at the doctor.

“Thank you,” I said as I smiled at the doctor, “He’s my pride and joy.”

“Haha, that’s great,” the doctor said checkin

"Yep," I said looking at Angel who was laughing because Dre was tickling him.

"Okay, Ms. you can leave now...come back if you have any pain or dizziness," the doctor said as he put my chart away and helped me out the bed.

"Thank you," I said looking up at him.

"You're welcome," he said as he exited out of the room.

Then Angel gasped, "Daddy, are we still going to the park today?"

"Of course, lil man...and we can get some ice cream too," Dre answered as he rubbed Angel's small curls.

Then Dre and I grabbed one of Angel's hands and finally made an exit to hopefully enjoy a beautiful day.
