Amber stood as if she was pinned to the floor. She knew what she had just seen. She just didn’t want to believe it.

First off, she blames her parents for even deciding to move here about twenty years ago. They just had to buy the biggest house on the block. Victorian style house painted in the grossest shade of green Amber has ever seen. The one that was haunted.

Next, Amber blames herself. She wanted to find some vintage clothing that she could were for the play at school. Her mother told her that there were some old clothes in some plastic tubs down in the basement.

Amber found the plastic containers all right. She was rummaging through one when she felt a cold rush of air stream across her next. Right away the hairs went up on her arms and neck and she had goosebumps all over. The weird part is that Amber has felt that same feeling before. Of course she was curious as to what was happening, but there was a part of her brain that was screaming at her not to look.

She wishes now that she hadn’t. Her mind was not playing tricks on her. There was a translucent image floating by the staircase. It just stood there, looking straight at Amber. Staring at her with a pair of gorgeous eyes.

But the apparition was gone just as soon as it appeared there. Scared out of her mind, Amber ran up the stairs looking for her mother. There was no sign of her anywhere. She must have gone to the store or something. So Amber ran up to her room and locked her door.

She went into her bathroom and splashed cold water on her face. This was not the first time that she has seen the ghost of Blake Harper. And she knew that it would not be her last.

Upcoming: The next chapter will contain information on the history of Blake Harper and the house that Amber is living in.
