So sickening because she's so eager to please.
She won't gain until she goes through the pain
Of kissing butt and sucking up,
So she agrees
To all that they say, every weary, dreary day.
And it's such a strain
To acknowledge their fame
When they're lower and slower than she.
But she keeps going on,
Letting them pretending she's wrong,
Getting neverending, condescending,
Infuriating, terrifying, uneducated,
Dedicated, hated and jaded complaints,
But now as of late
She's a ticking time-bomb
With a sickly gut-knot
Towards these brain-dead door-knobs
And these main-stead floor-rugs.
Someday she'll let out like an explosive young hellion,
And that way she'll get out of apprehensive rebellion.
Nay, they aren't thugs, nor muggers,
Nor liars nor cheaters,
Just mooching money-grubbers
Who fire her heater
And line up to feed her.
She eats from their hands just as they planned,
But she'd rather starve in dignity
Then give in to demands just as they command.
One after another she hardens her ability,
Sarcastically and wittily,
But silently and subtly.
Sometimes she cries out wistfully.
So sickening because she refuses to please!
She can gain even if she doesn't go through the pain.
No more kissing butt or sucking up.
So she disagrees,
Because she can never abide
Abusive injustice.
So instead she bides time,
And writes poems about it.
