As this burning liquid
Slides down my throat,
Searing my insides,
Scalding my throat.
My mind starts to fade,
And I’m losing control.
As my past comes to haunt me,
I must fight to keep command.
But as the memories suppress
Even my iron will,
It all comes back,
In a flood of bad karma.
A flash of pain,
Screaming and moaning.
And your lips are so painful
And your hands are so needy.
But nothing compares
To the mental anguish.
Knowing you hate me,
But wishing you didn’t.
Knowing you want me,
But wishing you didn’t.
Knowing you’ll take me,
But wishing you wouldn’t.
But as this fire
Works it’s magic,
The memories fade
Into a simple black oblivion.
Pierced only once,
By a single searing memory:
Your look of disgust
As your lips brush mine,
In the last, painful kiss.
And it all fades to black.
