(Temporary title if you have any ideas tell me!)

A/N: this is a story while not patented I would kindly ask you not to copy it I’m sure you wouldn’t want some one stealing your ideas!

BOOM an explosion right behind her. She was running from the enemy, trees whizzing past her. Gunshots, mines, grenades; the sounds of war filled her ears, yet still she ran. Her weapon clutched to her chest, the medic bag on her back growing heavier with each step, but still she ran.

“Keep running, can’t stop, RUN!” were the only thoughts racing through her mind. Primal fear was pumping adrenaline into her veins, adding more with each and every footstep. Screams of enemy’s and allies alike were chasing her as she ran. “There!” she said to herself as she ran over to a wounded solder. Too late. She got off her knees and continued to run toward her destination, still thinking of the dead solder.

BOOM another explosion, this time to the right of her, forcing her left into a tree. Cussing in her head and out loud enough to show her solder-side show. She tried to get up but fell back down in pain. Looking down she saw a sharp looking piece of shrapnel was embedded in her upper thigh. Wrenching it out with a scream, at this point she didn’t care who heard her. Pulling off her medic bag she pulled out a small amount of supplies just the minimum of what she would need for the injury after all she might need them later. The majority of her thoughts though were on how she could be done faster, she still had a long way to go and not enough time to get there.

How much time had passed between the explosion and her wound to be sown up and wrapped, she didn’t know but it was time to go and go fast. She had tried to stand but waves of dizziness had pushed her down. Her feelings were all messed up, and if you could see her she was crying in frustration. She wanted so desperately to find her brother but in this was zone it would be impossible and she knew that, but she-she had to try! She would have never forgiven herself if she hadn’t! She had hobbled holding onto trees and bushes till she collapsed, her leg it hurt so much and she couldn’t move. Then a miracle, a hand slid into her view.

“Medic!” she heard the solder say “come on.” He paused to wrap his arm around her body to help her to walk. “The enemy is pushing forward were withdrawing for now. I’m going to get you out of here we need safety!” While she never could see his face she had known by his uniform he was on her side. The pain in her thigh as the walked grew stronger till it made her vision swim. She couldn’t remember when she had blacked out but every once in a while she remembered different scenery, then nothing.

BEEPBEEPBEEP...CLICK the figure in the bed groped around till she had found the alarm clock, and slowly got out of her comfortable cocoon of a bed. She had lived in this house just long enough to know where the kitchen was with her eyes closed but still jammed her toes on boxes in the hallways.

When she finely navigated herself to the table that had a glass of juice and toast was waiting for her, which had been so thoughtfully provided by her twin brother. Grumbling a small thanks, she chugged the juice down and practically ate a piece of toast in one bite.

“I hate Mondays!” she said, grabbing another piece of toast and giving it the same treatment as the last and slightly choking on it. Her brother anticipating this had hit her back to unclog her throat so she didn’t kill herself. “You say that every Monday Ave,” her brother Justin responded, “now hurry up! We have school today.” While met with the best of regards his reply was met with another groan and a thud as her head met Mr. Table, they had gotten to know each other quite well since they had bought it.

Grumbling about evil brothers, unfair school, and how the sun should have stayed down. Aveline went back down the hall to where she could get ready for, what she felt, a long day ahead of her.
