Caitlyn just stared at the elegant building in front of her. Her eyes couldn’t believe it, she finally did it! She had been longing for this moment for two years and it finally came true. Here she was standing right in front of Beckett Academy, the Beckett Academy to be more precise; which was one of the most prestigious Arts Academy in the whole country. Ever since she had heard of it, she dreamed of being in it and now that she did, she couldn’t be happier.

“Is everything alright sweetie?” Her mom’s voice startling her from her shocked state. “ Mm? Oh I’m fine ma! Honest!” she answered as she turned around and took her remaining suitcases from the car.

“Are you sure darling? You’re not getting cold feet, are you now?” her mother asked while folding her arms and raising an eyebrow in disbelief at her daughter, who looked like an exact replica of her only a few years younger.

“Nuh uh ma! I’m telling you , I’m fine and never been happier actually!” she replied while trying to climb the three steps towards the door that led to her new awaited life.

Just as Caitlyn was about to reach the door, it opened to reveal an elderly yet elegant looking woman dressed in what seemed like a gray business suit. She was staring at Caitlyn with a smile on her face and then all of a sudden she spoke.

“You must be Caitlyn Worthington” She stated more than asking, while taking in Caitlyn's light brown hair and hazel eyes staring right back at her.

“Ermm…yeah, yeah that’s me” she replied.

“Welcome to the Beckett Academy, one of the finest school of arts you’ll ever know! I am the principal of this prestigious school, Mrs. Harris.” She said while never losing her smile. Caitlyn began to wonder if she was always like that or if that action became the habit of having to recite this “little speech” every year with every new student.

“Thank you Mrs. Harris” the 16 year-old politely replied.

“Oh dear! I almost forgot about you Mrs. Worthington! My apologies! Pleasure to meet you.” Mrs. Harris said while shaking the girl’s mom’s hand.

“Likewise, Mrs. Harris. Actually I need to get going or I won’t make it in time, I’ve got this important meeting and well I just wanted to make sure my baby..er.. I mean Caitlyn was ok” she said while receiving a glare from her daughter because of that last part.

“I understand. Well rest your mind assured that we will take very good care of your daughter and thank you for coming. Have a nice day!” Mrs. Harris replied in that cheery voice of hers.

“Alright then, I’ll get going. Bye darling I love you and you be good alright? See you soon kiddo” her mom said while hugging her one last time.

“Ok bye mom, love you too!” Caitlyn said after her mom let go and walked towards the car. Once her mom started the car, she turned one last time to wave bye at her and drove off towards the awaiting road and out of Caitlyn’s sight. Well this is it. There's no turning back now, she thought.
