The next day, Caitlyn entered the classroom and was about to take a seat; when she noticed Cyan wasn't there still. However, Erys was there already. She was giving Caitlyn a polite smile, one which Caitlyn did her best to return but failed.
Ugh, why should I feel guilty about eavesdropping? After all, it's not like I planned on it, it just happened. And besides; I'm not the one who sneaks off with my friend's boyfriend in the middle of the night. Caitlyn thought.
The class began and even after 20 minutes had gone by; Cyan didn't show up. Caitlyn began to worry. Had something happened to Cyan? She decided not to make assumptions based on her stupid imagination and continued to work. After a few minutes had passed, she asked permission to go to the bathroom.
She was making her way towards it, when she heard hushed voices coming from another hallway far away from the classrooms. Her curiosity consumed her and she couldn't help but take a look.
What she saw surprised her entirely. There it was Cyan grabbing Max by the collar of his shirt; keeping him pinned to the wall.
"So, when were you going to tell me pal?" Cyan spoke harshly.
"What? What are you talking about? Tell you what?" Max spoke with a look of shock on his face.
"When were you planning to tell me, that you have feelings for my girlfriend, huh?!"
"I don't know what you're talking about! And anyways, she's you're ex. Ex-girlfriend. I think everybody knows that." Max said defiantly.
"Don't lie! I know you love her! Why didn't you tell me or Emma?! Why?!"
"Why does it matter? I'm not with her nor do I plan on it. Wait, how did you know?! I never told anyone before. Unless...you were eavesdropping?! I knew I had heard someone last night!"
"Yes, but I didn't plan on it. But that doesn't matter now! I'm asking you again, why didn't you tell me?!" Cyan asked nearly in tears.
"Because she knows and she doesn't love me back! So, what's the point? And either way, why should you care? You've already found someone else, haven't you? That Caitlyn chick. I can't believe you've replaced Rys with her." Max answered.
Whoa, thanks for that blow to my ego Max. Really, thanks a lot. Caitlyn sarcastically thought.
"What?! What are you talking about? Caitlyn and I are just friends! There's nothing going on between us other than friendship!" Cyan exclaimed.
"Well, that's not what Rys thought. Think about it, man. Who would believe you after knowing your history? Are you that stupid? How can you get her back if you do stupid things like these ones?"
For a few minutes no one said anything, and Cyan released Max.
"I'm sorry I never told you, I really am. But, you have to understand why I couldn't tell you; it would've damaged our friendship. Besides, as much as I love Erys; I've grown fond of Emma. I don't want to break Emma's heart over unrequited love. It wouldn't be fair to her or anybody. So, just leave it like that Cyan; please I beg you. Don't tell anyone."
"Fine, I won't. But, under one condition." Cyan said.
"Yes?"
"You have to stay away from Erys for a while." Cyan said while looking at him with a serious look on his face.
"What?! No! I'm her friend! You can't do that!" Max said, looking pretty upset with that particular idea.
"It's for Emma's sake! If you keep talking to Erys, that'll only make your love grow; it'll never go away. Trust me on that one. The only way of letting her go is by being away from her." Cyan explained.
"No, you only want me away from her because you're jealous. I can't believe you would stoop that low!" Max's angry voice said.
Cyan sighed and then said, "You're right. You're her friend, I'm sorry. But, just promise me this one thing, Max. Make Emma happy. She was once my best friend. I'd hate to see her get hurt."
"That, I can promise." Max said.
Caitlyn thought the argument was over and was about to walk away, when she heard them speaking again.
"Cyan, just tell me one thing."
"What is it?"
"Promise me you won't get mad."
"I promise, Max; now what is it?"
"What's it like to kiss her?" Max had asked in such a low voice, Caitlyn could barely hear what he had said.
"You're telling me you've never kissed her? Not once?" Cyan asked.
"Nope, not once." Max said while looking straight ahead. Cyan only gave him an I-don't-believe-you-look.
"Fine. I tried once, but she blew me off. And before you go all psycho on me, no; I wasn't with Emma at that time." Max explained.
"But Erys was still with me at that time." Cyan shot back.
"Yeah, but then I regained my senses and apologized. I never tried again after that; I promise." Max said, and then gave a sigh before continuing, "I'm just curious; since I'll never have the chance to find out for myself."
"You shouldn't be asking me those kinds of questions. You're only torturing yourself."
"Humor me." Max dryly said.
"Fine, I'll tell you. It feels like heaven. She made me feel like I belonged with her." Cyan answered with this dreamy look, while Max closed his eyes. Caitlyn felt a bit nauseous after hearing that confession.
"Don't worry Cyan. Pretty soon, you'll be able to feel that way again. I'll help you with that. That's what friends are for, right?" Max said giving him a smile, which Cyan returned.

xMy-Chemical-Writingx: You got that feeling right, but I can't tell you just yet. Wait a bit, just a tiny bit. Everything will be explained pretty soon.
not.a.spoiled.brat: Well as to why Cyan gets so mad quickly, you'll have to wait and see. If I explained it right now, it would ruin everything. Same thing with the whole "erys is so perfect" thing. Sorry.
