Where I From

I’m from basking in the sun and then saying its too hot inside
I’m from the blanche chaste snow that sparkles like diamonds, or so says a spirit
I’m from yelling at my sister and then going shopping with her the next
I’m from partying, and dancing like no ones watching

I’m from the mystifying mysteries, and the flights of the imaginations (called fantasies) of books
Which I’ve just recently come to truly appreciate and enjoy.
I’m from watching lots of horror movies and just loving those insomniac nights afterwards
I’m from creating words, making stories, organizing letters, and mastering my skills at writing camp

I’m from the deepest depths, and clearest blues of the ocean,
I’m from the shallow pools and currents of rivers
I’m from swimming until the moon joins me, and swims with the stars
I’m from listening to the wind past through the flowers and inhaling their aromas.

I’m from paintbrushes, charcoals, sketch pencils, and calligraphy pens. Even if I’m not good at it I still enjoy creating art
I’m from relaxing to the own sound of silence
I’m from a place of treble clefs and eighth notes; of sharps, flats, and grace notes
I’m from the keys and strings of the piano, something I’ve enjoyed for a long time
I’m from hope and faith. Hope of a new day and faith to live it well,

I’m from the past but I’m heading towards the future, and plan to add more to this list
