Chai Dreams

Much I have traveled and found naught like you

You, from my soul, the depths of my dreaming

But once our eyes met, it seemed to be true

And throughout the night I kept nigh from beaming

N’ soon you’ll meet me under apple boughs

Calling to question my frail sanity

Letting it all be gone but here and now

Our love, so close to oh sweet vanity

Both hearts flutter, a chaste and pale kiss

Dew drops sparkle in such a lightning sea

I know that for your heart I must persist

Lips, flushed against a glass of crystal tea

Now ice encroaching far beyond our bed

But I protect our love ‘till I be dead.
