Tengo un sueño extraño.

En este sueño hay una mujer.

Está caminando en mi calle.

No sé quien es la mujer.

Es una noche obscura.

Es difícil ver.

No sé quien es la mujer.

Aun cuando voy por ella.

Se nega a contestarme.

¡No sé quien es la mujer!

Yo corro alcanzar a ella,

pero está caminando aprisa y tengo sueño.

Quiero sé quien es ella.

Pero no parará.

“¡Para, por favor!” grito,

“Quién eres?”

Se vuelve, tiene mis ojos.

Con un suspiro me pregunta,

“Quién eres?”

De vez en cuando,

cuando la mujer me pregunta este y me despierto,

me pregunto,

“Quién soy?”

Translation

I have a strange dream.

In this dream there is a woman.

She is walking on my street.

I don’t know who the woman is.

It is a dark night.

It is difficult to see.

I don’t know who the woman is.

Even though I call for her,

she refuses to answer.

I don’t know who the woman is!

I run to catch up with her,

but she won’t stop.

“Stop, please!” I scream,

“Who are you?”

She turns, she has my eyes.

With a sigh she asks me,

“Who are you?”

Every once in a while,

when the woman asks me this and I wake up,

I ask myself,

“Who am I?”
