I was just a note on a piano keyboard
I played teasingly close to the bass line
But one session, I was so floored
To find a note that played so well with mine
So we played a few tunes together
And we harmonized so fine
We played sickeningly cute whenever
And played songs like "Lover" and "Hun"
But I remember one day, tuning weather
I heard a song so overdone
It was "Lover, I cheated and was wrong,
But can't we just be a threesome?"
So now I'm a one-noted song
Chords are never the plan
But my place by the bassline's not gone
Because I have yet learned my lesson
