Her eyes were still red and her voice was still cracked when she heard the door open behind her.
The rain came down in sheets as a dripping young man stepped across the threshold.
He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn’t seem to locate the right words.
“Are you still mad at me?” he finally said.
The girl brushed away a tear that escaped her eye and meandered down her cheek. “Are you still continuing with this foolish idea.”
Silence hung heavily in the air.
“Then, yes.” She said.
There was a soft click as the door closed again.
