Words in this class come out all jumbled
Like a big puzzle smashed up in its box
Early in the morning,
When no one is awake to care,
And those who are just can’t remember what the picture looks like,
So letters get lost and
Words play leap frog and
Statements just don’t make sense like they used to.
Murky morning minds get twisted on their way to school,
Just trying to recall the number of their train,
And now they’re expected to string sentences together
For a class assignment?
As though any of us can actually form a thought right now?
Oh, please. Shut up.
Nap time.
