Tires roll to a stop,

keys are pulled from the ignition.

It’s just you and me

Our eyes close, cheeks touch

I let my weight fall against your shoulder

This is what I want

Just to be near you, touch you, feel your nose

Brush against mine, your beautiful.

And when this moment is over

And you’ve gone

I’ll still think of you

Simple because I’m covered

In your scent.

And I’ll miss you so,

Because I have no choice.

You’ve captured me

Like a child captures caterpillars in the summer heat

I never want you to let me go.
