I’m lying in the sand, gazing up at stars,
Burning brightly contrasting the darkness
Surrounding them. Waves collide against the sand,
Rippling over my toes trying to distract me,
But all I hear is our last
Conversation replaying over and over.
Who are you?
You’re in my head.
You leave me confused,
In my mind, tripping over my thoughts
Like runners over roots in a forest.
Who are you?
Who is this person
I see, a ghost in front of me.
You’re different when you’re just around me.
Why’s it so hard to figure out?
Why do you have to raise hell, and hinder, and hurt yourself?
Those “highs” you get aren’t really worth shit, are they?
Who are you?
What do you really want?
If you could have anything...
What would you have?
If you could be anything...
What would you be?
If you could be with anybody...
Who would it be?
Would you choose me?
I can’t say I know the answers either,
But I know I wouldn’t risk another day
Ruining my life, just trying to
“Run away”.
Who are you?
