Introducing my grand epic novel that I started working on seven years ago during Spring Break in April. Ever since then, I been working on it constantly and is the first Manga-base novel I written. I restarted the beginning so many times because the story felt like it was missing something and didn't have that oomph i wanted. This Arc is completely new and is set before the main story starts, however, this is the official beginning and the first season of the story. This story combines fantasy, sci-fi, adventure, drama, a lot of mind-blowing action and much more. I really hope that everyone enjoys this New Arc as I am putting a lot of thought, creativity and effort into it. If you have any suggestions or wanting to Beta this story, please leave it out of Review and PM me about it. Reviews are for reviews only. If you want to advertise your story then do so if you like. Thank you for taking your time and please enjoy your read.

Omanee : The Series
By P.D. Enriquez
Stage 1: Prologue
My memories?
I don’t seem to have any memories.
I don’t even remember my past.
I don’t even know what my name is.My mind is blank.
Who am I?
What is my name?
What am I?
I don’t remember.
I can’t remember.
Why is it so hard to remember?
I will dream till I find my answers.
A suspicious tall figure, concealed in heavy clothing, was rushing through the busy streets of the city’s mesmerizing nightlife. Numerous lighting of every source from traffic lights, neon signs, and screens from all shapes and sizes dazzled the city at every nook and cranny. With wide variety of entertainment and attractions bundled together, everyone always spotted something they were seeking.
The sidewalks were always crowded like a popular amusement park, and the traffic was even worse, sometimes never moving for several hours. This city was truly the granddaddy of all megalopolis anywhere, which no other place came close to the spectacle, and the trance-like lure. This thrilling place of technology was called Little Tokyo State, an island far off the coast of Japan, and almost out in the middle of nowhere.
The island was mysteriously advertised all across the world showcasing all of which it had to offer and much more. Like mosquitoes to light, millions of people, diverse in every way, flocked to this city wanting to experience everything, however, blissfully ignorant of what was in store for them.
This would be the final night the city would ever come alive and no more graced the onlookers it captured. Not a single person could knew what was about to happen or even dreamt of something this devastating would ever happen. It happened so fast, so quickly, and it only lasted for one night.
It started like an ordinary night but it was a night to remember. What exactly happened? It all started with an enormous flaming fireball that scorched the night sky and caused a catastrophic explosion that took out a few blocks once it landed.
“Admiral, an object has landed on the unknown terrestrial’s surface. Damage upon impact has been kept to bare minimal but habitants are in a state of shock,” a female voice called out.
“I bet hundreds people died instantly and we should had prevented it. Why did our pursuit lead us to this backwatered planet? More so, why are they now making a stand here? My gut tells me that something is here and they want it for themselves. I want all available Aerial and Multi-Terrain (MT) Mechs vehicles to be deployed at once! Your mission is to destroy the enemy’s fleet and prevent them from getting what they want.”
“Military status has been upgraded! Everyone to battle stations and be on standby for space warfare. This is not a drill. I repeat this is not a drill. Prep all Aerial and MT Mechs.”
Throughout the flagship and the fleet sirens were going off repeatedly. Soldiers from every form were frantically rushing towards their battle station. Some came from the cafeteria, the crew quarters, or other duties that were assigned to them as most of them headed toward the hangers. Inside the hangers were the busiest; the crewmen were prepping colossal machines that had similar nature to jets on the unidentified planet, but super-sized.
These machines were known as Aerial mechs as the other Mechs, which each had a humanoid appearance, were known as MTs mechs. Both types were equipped with wide-ranged of weaponry for intensive combat. While the Mechs were getting ready for combat, the pilots were also preparing in the locker rooms by putting on their space-flight suits.
About six distinctive pilots rushed out of the locker room and quickly headed to their machines that were ready for deployment. Each wore a different color suit that corresponds to their colored vehicles, which were specified only to them. Three of them scaled a ladder to board their giant machine while the other three scaled a ladder to board a similar machine but slightly smaller and compact.
“Military status has been upgraded to highest level! Prepare for terrestrial and space warfare! I repeat, prepare for all-terrain warfare! Deploy all space ready Aerial and MT Mechs at once!”
All pilots in the hanger ignited their engine of their Mechs with each producing a single loud roar of raw power and a strong stench of fuel burning. With several at a time, the machines were violently launched through the exits by a catapult and into the vast space outside from their metal confinement. Once in space, the Mechs quickly blasted off in differently direction freely as they slowly moved into their own squadron.
Each squadron then immediately flew to their designated formation and was heading towards the enemy fleet several thousand miles away. Behind them were several Class-3 Galactic Destroyers each longer than a mile and they were still deploying more squadrons to the field. The enemy fleet consisted of three unknown class battleships that were several times larger than the destroyers and deploying a few squadrons to protect themselves.
Soon, all squadrons of the pursuing fleet were deployed and was ordered to stop in their position as they were preparing for an all out war against the pursued fleet. The six colored mechs were position in the front as they were the leading squadron of the fleet and the three much larger machines had transformed into full battleroid MT mechs. About half of a million mechs were floating lifelessly in space as they were anxiously waiting on a single order to finally attack the enemy with everything they had to offer.
“Damn, all this waiting is pissing me off,” the black-colored MT pilot barked.
“Relax, Tran,” a male voice calmly responded to his comrade, whom was piloting a blue Aerial. “We weren’t all deployed at once to wait out for long. Sooner or later the higher-ups are going to give us an order to attack.”
“I know that, Nigh, but you know me I can’t sit still for much longer! My trigger finger is getting really itchy by all the excitement back on the ship,” the black-colored pilot, known as Tran, whined.
“Nigh has a point, Tran, please restrained yourself by all means. We wouldn’t want nothing to happen to our infamous leader,” a female voice belonging to the purple-colored MT sarcastically muttered out loud.
“Shut up Veil. Are you trying to piss me off even more?” Tran snapped back and a sudden recollection lifted his expression. “I heard your records on 'Most Shot Down' was broken by yours truly,” he replied more calmly and smirked while the last few words escaped his lips.
“Only in your dreams that would ever happen! I bet there was a system error. Besides I’m still trying to figure out how a hotshot, inexperienced pilot, and immature boy like yourself was made as our squad leader.”
“Probably cause I don’t have that lousy attitude of yours,” Tran laughed as Veil growled in response.
“They’re at it again, Deos,” another female voice, but higher pitch, joined in the communication line and is piloting the white Aerial.
"We shouldn't butt in, Retra, those two are always in a lover spat," Deos laughed out loud irraiting the two while he sits comfortable in his green MT.
"Lover's spat? It can't be true," a shy quiet female voice from the red Aerial nervously whispered to herself as the mere thought of Tran and Veil being together made her uncomfortable.
"What are you talking about a 'Lover's spat'?" Tran yelled annoyed that anybody would accuse him of being romantically involved with a woman such as Veil. "There is no way that I would ever get with that ugly hag!"
"Who you calling an ugly hag?" Veil angerily shouted over the communication line and they started throwing random curse words at each other that would send some fearless pilots to wince.
"Would you two quiet down? It seems we are getting an order from our senior officers," Nigh spoke sharply to cause the other two to instantly stop their brutal form of exchanging words.
"Alright! About time! Let get this show on the road!" Tran eagerly shouted as every squadron was order to engage the enemy with the intent of shoot-to-kill.
"I won't let you outdo me this time!" Veil whispered as she armed and aimed her plasma rifles that were in each hand.
"Tran, I got your 6 and whenever you want to form just call it!" Nigh spoke calmly as he guided his Aerial behind Tran's MT.
"Yeah, yeah," Tran replies, ignoring his friend being helpful, "I got this." With the view of the enemies space-fighters being reflected off his helmet's visor, his craft's targeting systems locked onto each and every space-fighter till his view was filled with red marks. He instinctively and effectively moved his hands over the controls as he began to swiftly operate his machine with precise control and instantly armed himself. "For the ZeNyden Empire!"
Just as the squadron broke off into offensive tactics and Tran about to engage in battle, a bright blue light violently passed him from the sides without warning. It took him several seconds to even react to the light as his MT started shaking wildly and he steered far away from the sudden light. He quickly turned his head around as he saw thousand of small explosions within the light and one of Galactic Destroyers completely destroyed.
Tran looked back in front of him and saw that the now fading light led to one of the unknown warships which took that opportunity to launch an aggressive assault. His eyes widen as he watched his comrades die almost instantly and he wasn't able to do a thing to save them. They never knew that there opponent had such devastating weapons.
"It seems they are using some type of energy-base weapons," Nigh quietly informed Tran.
Tran shook his head and gripped his controls with his moist hands and cleared his throat, "It seems like it."
"There was nothing we could of done to prevented it,” Nigh solemnly replied, knowing that Tran felt responsible of their death. “The only thing we must do is to make sure the rest survives."
"Roger that,” Tran quickly replied, as something swung from the side and over his face, giving him a 3D image of the battlefield. “Initiating wide-view battle sight,” he continued as the mode able him to have a third person view of his MT as long he kept concentration.
With Tran able to see and pilot his MT through his unique ability, he was able to instinctively view all angles from his machine. This allowed him to perform unparalleled evasion and offensive maneuverability at an impossible situations and the rapid rate of mobility. Tran knew that his was the reason why he made squad leader of the most elite pilots and would use it to its every advantage.
“All squads commence attack on the enemy fleet. Be on high alert on the unidentified energy-base cannon on the enemy warships. I want immediate reconnaissance on that weapon and want all information that you gain broadcast to all allies as a top priority.” Tran quickly commanded through all communication channels as he received plenty affirmation from different squads.
