INTRODUCTION

I.

February 28, 2007; April 3, 2008
An early sentiment on my writing style.

My Poetics

Ambling,
A clumsy giant in
Plain view
For worlds to see,

Visible from
Over the tops of trees,
Over mountains;
A little ugly, stupid-looking,

Homeless,
Forever bachelor,
And without a soul
Just yet;

Searching the blooming
Undergrowth for sustenance
With the tiniest
Eyes of eyes in his palms,
His thoughts
Growing out
Of his arms and knuckles
like little tubers,

Lacking

The nimbleness, camouflage, and
Finesse of the tree lizard or feral butterfly;

He sleeps on hazards,
He dreams of being normal.
