Old friends, somehow richer than new

They're just worth more

They saw more

While you became you.

They saw awkward braces

They saw awful bangs

You went through it together

Glasses, crushes, 'cooties'--growing pangs.

Seperate ways have been taken

Different roads have been travelled

But your friendship's not shaken

Trust has not been unravelled.

New adventures pursued

We can share them again

With our friendship renews

It's all part of a plan

Certain changes been made

Battle scars to be shared

Friendship ripens with age

And I know you still care.
