This story is somewhat darker then my usual fare, but I tried Werewolves once, but it failed, so I'm trying again.

Summary:

Jake was just a child, a poor deffenseless kid, but the creature had no mercy, it never would show such a pathetic being mercy. It had been hungry, it was the simple matter at hand. And now that poor child is little more then a scared little werewolf pup, wishing to find his place in a new world. His only companion is a lone werewolf that saved him from a fate much worse.

Chapter 1
First Kill

Through The Eyes of Scar

The little fool, how dare he come into my woods, the small ones, the juicy ones, they were always so stupid. The child stood there for a moment, the cub was obviously seperated from it's parents, the perfect target. Without a moments hesitation, I pounced onto into it, the child barely let out a yelp, I barely gave him time to before digging into his back, licking the blood that poured through it. He whimpered, crying and squealing like an overgrown pig. I bit onto his pantleg, dragging him towards my den, the cave that stuck from the ground was not noticable, and the yelling of what was likely his parents continued to die down. He screamed and cried, struggled, I couldn't take this anymore, he was so fucking annoying! "Shhhhh..." I said softly "It's nothing personal.." I bit into his neck, going as deep as I could, through his flesh, I told him "But I must feed.."

However, I never finnished the sap off to feed off his flesh, within seconds I found myslef hitting the wall, a figure loomed over the dying child. "Get your own food!" I snapped to the stranger "I found this one..."

"Have you no honor?" the stranger asked, snarling, he took the child, who I guessed to be 4 into its arms, it was clearly male "It's but a pup!"

I watched growling as the child slowly began to grow his fur, his mouth becoming small, claws forming on it's hands and feet. My meal was now one of us, damn the bastard. I watched as the stranger bolted away, I had no abllity to harm one of my own, not until he was grown.

Third Person Point of View

The wolf-like creature lifted his head above his body and sniffed the air, 9 long years since that day, now the thirteen year old werewolf was on the run, forever cursed to this form until the one who bit him died. As of yet it hadn't, and each night the thirst for human blood grew stronger. "My son, what troubles you?" his adopted father stepped behind him, snout lightly rubbing his side "You seem troubled."

Malastar had been the one who had saved Jake Samuels from death, raised him for as long as the teenager could remmember. However, he was in no way his father, and it bothered Jake to hear those words spoken. "Humans..." Jake scowled "I'm finding it hard to ignore it Malastar. I'm hungry." the human-like wolf bowed his head "I need human blood."

"You do understand you must kill whoever you feast upon..." Malastar asked, Jake only nodded "No children either, if by chance, you do so by mistake you know what the consuquences are."

"You must allow it to transform so that it may not die, and take it into your pack..." once again the teenager nodded "And no orphans either, of course."

"You have memorized the code of honor." Malastar said, his blue eyes falling upon his ward "I'm impressed."

"I've learned from the best." Jake replied, seeing a man in the clearing, walking as if lost.

Sympathy filled him, he used to be one of them, but his instincts would not let him stop. "Would you like me to save any?" Jake asked.

"I have feasted for the night young one." Malastar replied "This is your kill, your first one at that, be careful to make sure he is not armed with silver."

"I will." Jake assured him, he kept hidden to the shadows as he approached his prey, a man on no older then 19, exactly the age of the child law cut off.

Without a word, Jake pounced, causing the man to yelp, the death of the man was quick and swift, he merely bit his neck hard enough to snap it. The young man likely only felt a small ammount of pain before his death. He bit onto his victims leg as hard as he could, and dragged him back to where he and his 'father' were hiding, behind the bushes and into the clearing that was well hidden enough to conceal them. "I didn't expect you to go through... With it.." Malastar stared in shock, seeing the look of fear in the child's brown eyes "Are you going... To be ok?"

"Yes, I will be.." Jake nodded, instincts kicked in at once, he started at the snapped neck, sinking his teeth in he sucked through, within moments all the blood was drained from the body of the man.

"You have not sacrificed him correctly." Malastar sighed, shaking his head.

"But he's dead, I snapped the neck, see?" he pointed at the blood soaked neck of the man.

"Your neck was snapped as well." Malastar shook his head "You must..."

"Eat the flesh?"

"No, nothing like that, that is considered dishonorable." Malastar pointed his muzzle twoards the infected spot of his neck "You must remove it..."

"I'm not ready for that." Jake whimpered backing up "Can you not do it?"

"No, only the one who has bitten them can." Malastar encouraged his son "Go on..."

Jake sighed, bending down, he took one large bite out of the man's neck, the man shook, flailed, and layed dead in a pool of blood. "I believe it is time to build our fire." Malastar noted "Be a good boy and fetch me some will you?"

"I am not a dog." Jake said calmly, licking the blood from his thick, blonde hair that covered his entire wolf-like body, the same color as his human hair.

It took Jake several minutes to get the firewood, placing it around the man's dead body, he stepped back as Malastar, using to sticks like a human started a rather large fire. He dared not watch his meal's flesh burn, it disgusted him. But it was, sadly, the way of the werewolf, they needed the blood of humans to live, and flesh. But Jake was not ready for that, he was too young, a pup like him only needed the blood to feed on. "I feel... Weird." he whispered "What if that man had a family?"

"It cannot be helped Jacob." Malastar replied, adressing him in his full name "In order to be saved from starvation, we must feed."

Jake shook his head, laying down calmly, he rested his head over his legs, falling alseep slowly, it was just as he had been told "The first kill is always the hardest.".
