I won't be a doctor,
Not even a dentist,
I'm going to do what I love
And become an artist!

But what about money?
That's something you need.
If you're not a lawyer,
You'll never be free.

There's no room for dreams,
Only PhDs.
Aspirations don't matter,
We have to succeed.

It's the only way,
I'm old, so listen to me.
Throw your hopes down the drain,
Or you'll never be happy.

In this time and place,
I think we all agree,
Life's only a race,
And you win with degrees.

They seemed so convincing,
So that's what I did,
And now I'm unhappy,
...But I'm soooooo fucking rich.
