A/N: Seven chapters, seven different imaginary nonsensical things, that are all romancey-flavoured. :makes face:
Enjoy.

One.

It’s a little hazy, almost like a dream, but not. She can feel herself sprint the last stride up to him, as if she hasn’t seen him in a month, when it’s been three hours at most. She stands up on tiptoe, flinging her arms around his neck. Her feet rest between his, so that their bodies are too close not to be touching, and in comparison, the blue and white sneakers on her feet look almost comical next to his black and white ones which are both firmly on the ground (mostly because she’s on tiptoe, and partly because hers are rather smaller). She feels his arms snake around her waist, returning the hug. The green fabric of his sports shirt is rough against her arms, and she can feel his fingers on her singlet through hers. She catches brown, curly hair out of the corner of her eye, and smiles, a small, secret smile into his shoulder.

“Hey,” he says softly, shifty smirk playing across his face.

“Hey yourself,” she replies, both of them at last letting go. They’re standing there, near silver seats next to one of those tables that look like they’ve been stolen from a park, the metal umbrellas and boys messy schoolbags making her realise that they aren’t exactly alone... Who cares that there are people staring? She asks herself, they’ve got nothing on this.

And in that instant, she knows, this is no fairytale.
