Love Disorder
She split his ribs and crawled inside
She breathed him life, and thus he died
Nestled against beating heart (a tumor)
Spared him just one look
Beautiful, wonderful—explicitly painful
He couldn’t get away before
She melted down for him to drink, to pour
And soaked under his skin (a disease)
She pulsed through his veins, water-thin but deadly still
No radiation, surgery, nor therapy could ever cure all traces
Toxic and choking but still he loved the taste
Of the vicious subjugation that lay his mind to waste
Just to be near her (a cancer)
As affection grew to affliction and overtook the rest
He became his love for her
