Simple Seductions
James is one such character. He belongs to Madison. And that's why she makes a cameo.
Enjoy!
James
You know, it’s not often that I have a lover offered to me. Sure, I’ve seduced my share of men and even had a few fall at my feet, but I’ve never had anyone come up to me and say “Hey, here’s a guy for you to seduce.”
But when Megan suggested this guy to me, I couldn’t pass him up.
“He’s a vampire. I know you have a thing for biters,” she snickers, a mischievous smile on her lips. I know that smile and it’s rarely a good thing. “Tall, dark and handsome, just the way you like ‘em. Deep green eyes, thick dark hair, chiseled features…He’s got an accent too but I’ve never been able to place it and he won’t tell me where it’s from.”
“What’s the catch?” There was always a catch.
She gave me a coy, knowing smile. “He’s straighter than a steel post.” I snorted and a touch of malicious glee gleamed in her eyes. “I know how much you love a challenge.”
And she was utterly right. I love corrupting the straight ones. That’s why I’m here at this bar, sipping on my beer, ignoring assholes, and scanning the writhing crowd for my “prey.”
Ah, there he is, a pretty little blonde girl hanging on his arm. Hmmm…Don’t get distracted; I’ll have to go play with her later, though. Back to the matter at hand. And what a matter he is. Boy, oh boy. Megan was right. This man is nearing the Adonis status.
I wait for a half hour or so before he leaves his date to head for the bathroom. I follow, slinking after him with a smile. This is going to be fun.
As he’s washing his hands, I grab him by the shoulders and wrench him around, latching onto his mouth the first chance I get. He struggles when I slip my tongue between his lips but the good thing that came out of having so many supernatural lovers is that I’ve learned how to hold on.
After he stops trying to break my neck or disembowel me, I let my hands roam, moving down his shoulders, over his chest and torso. I brush over the bulge in his jeans and try not to laugh when he shudders.
Your killer instincts say “No.” But your body says “Go.”
Suddenly, two firm hands press against my chest and shove me backwards. I wince as I slam against the paper towel dispenser.
Those gorgeous are glaring murder but I repress my fear and smile with a lick of my lips, praying to God that this handsome creature won’t kill me.
He stalks out and I laugh as the door shuts, thinking of the card I slipped into his pocket. Not that I’m really expecting him to call.
As I stretch my aching back, I make a mental note to thank Megan for the fun and head out to see about the vampire’s little blonde friend.
