Imelda

Leather straps and buttoned holes.
Heels so high and flats so low.
Pretty sandals and summer flip-flops
Sporty sneakers and classy high tops.
Hiking boots for the hike, quilted boots for the snow
Crocs for the water, and taps for the show.
Polka dots and stripes, as lovely as can be
Camouflage and leopard print--they were all made for me!

The bright reds and lucky greens,
They'll complement your favorite jeans.
Some come in black, others in blue,
There's plenty for me, and I'll share with you.
These go with your purse, and those for my dress.
I've got a discount, so we'll get them for less.

Shoes can be so cute and so fun.
In the winter breeze and the summer sun.
At one time I didn't care; it was nothing to me,
But what can I do, when I see them daily?
You're doomed as can be, when you work for a shoe hole.
Beware the Shoe-Devil, she will steal your sole.

A/N: The result of working at Payless ShoeSource. The title comes from my uncle nicknaming me Imelda (Google her) because he thinks I buy a lot of shoes, but I don't think I'm as drastic as that woman. :-P For every pair I buy I get rid of another, so it all works out.

Sorry for that lame attempt at a pun at the end, I couldn't resist. :-P C/C is welcome.
