And there, in the light of the sun
The asphalt reeled me in
It held me closer
And it kissed me

Clumsily I bounced off
And it watched me jump away

But the air didn’t want me either
And the asphalt shrugged
And held me tightly again

Until my will was strong enough
To let go
To the light of the sun

And I threw my blood at the asphalt
And the blood splattered all over it
And I flew away
