Our love used to be so sweet,
now all that's left is a hollowed
out chocolate Easter rabbit.
The chocolate's gone bad.
The sweetness is no longer there.
The memory of you lingers,
but not the sweetness.
A lot of things are still here,
but not you.
Your scent, your picture.
Your voice in my head.
But not you.
Sweet has turned to acid.
Chocolate has turned to blood.
I visit bakeries, searching for chocolate,
but none are as good as you.
No matter how much money I spend,
the taste is never as good.
Sugar coated lies are ripped apart.
You don't love me.
You never did.
And you
never
will.
I do.
