And there she was, walking towards me. I couldn't breathe, couldn't think, it felt as if she made my whole body froze. Just by looking at me with those deep brown eyes, she tranfixed me into a state of total paralyzation. Everything I've felt has led up to this. I can't let myself freeze like a fucking popsicle sitting in the fucking freezer. Amazingly, I moved myself, waving towards her as she approached. “Hey, what's up?”
“Nothing...” She stared at me, using her deep brown eyes to penetrate my soul, reading me like the book I am. “What's wrong?”
I contemplated playing it off, telling her I had a stomach ache. Well, fuck, I do have a damn stomach ache. “Listen.. there is something I need to tell you.” I quickly pulled her off to the side, taking hold of her arm, careful to not hurt her. “I... we are good friends right?”
“Yeah, of course.”
“I can't hide it from you anymore, can't stop lying to you anymore. I'm in love with you.”
Everything I feared came cascading back to me as she stood there, with that fucking surprised look on her face that haunts my nightmares every night.
“I... um... I don't think I... I don't like you like that.”
