Help me father, for I do not see

the light amidst the darkness.

I am frightened by the hollow memory

of the scarlet tree.

It was a gift from you to all creation;

to bestow life upon the dead.

Oh cursed pride of men!

that we begot annihilation.

The Lord has mercy abundant,

but, not for the sinners lost in time.

And so we’re left to bloody

the tree of life.
