By: Ryuu Kira
Chapter 1
A/N: This is the rewritten version of ghost mountain, I have a ton of stories I would love to give you but I don't feel much like doing so these days; I'll be updating star tower and I'll be rewriting the last chapter I put up I don't like it. So anyways here it goes.
A black van pulled off a paved road and onto a dirt road. Inside the car were two persons. A six-teen year old boy was riding in the front passenger seat while a woman was driving. Her hair was very long even when it was put up to keep out out of the way on a hot day like today. She wore a plain white sleeve shirt and a pear of old jeans. The six-teen year old wore all black. He was burning up but he would never admit it to the person sitting next to him, she find a way to use it against him. The teen sighed and then the woman out of the corner of her eye looked over to him noticing him lean his elbow on the hand rest on the car door.
“You can't pout forever you know,” she said and the teen looked over to her his dark blue eyes glowing with annoyance making them look darker than they actually were.
“I don't pout,” he snapped and then looked back out the window trying to find something blistering out in the middle of no where.
The woman smiled an amused smile then she stated over so joyfully, “Then what do you call it?”
“Teenage venting,” the teen snapped quietly.
The woman sighed and rolled her eyes she knew better than that, he just wasn't to trilled about coming out to her farm since it had been at least over 11 years from his last visit.
“Kaiden,” the woman spoke giving the dark haired teen the you can't hide anything from me tone.
“I don't wanna' talk about it; he was the one who suddenly decided I couldn't go to camp like a normal person,” Kaiden snapped.
He had planned on going to a camp for 6 weeks with his friend and cousin but that was changed and now he was riding to the one place he didn't want to ever see again. Okay maybe he missed it a little bit and was mainly curious on how it had changed but that was something totally different than why he had come.
“Your family is far from normal,” the woman sighed and heard Kaiden grummble something in Japanese.
Kaiden was a Japanese-american well his mother was from England but she had moved to america when she was 13. His father had just so happened to move at the same time and they ended up living right next store to one another. His father owned a mulity-million air company, and his mother had been a famous fashion desginer for a while until she married and had Kaiden then shortly after his 5th birthday died.
“I have no idea what your talking about,” Kaiden answered still looking out the window bord out of his mind watching the same serinery over and over again.
“You father's side is full of monks and priest, I wouldn't be surprised if you knew a few spirit warding spells,” the woman stated with a bright smile.
“Skylar you amaze me,” Kaiden told her looking over to her again.
Skylar gave Kaiden a sweet smile and then she continued to watch the road. Kaiden looked back out the window and as he did Skylar once again looked over to him from the corner of her eye. He had grown so much he wasn't a little boy anymore, he was a teenager with all the thoughts a boy would have at...six-teen...
“Kaiden!” Skylar shouted making Kaiden jump slightly by the sudden out burst.
“Nani?” he asked blinking aparently he had started to fall asleep from the jet lag he had gotten while he was coming from Japan.
“Keira invited some friends to stay with her over the break don't flirt with them got it?” asked Skylar with a glare that meant do as I say or suffer.
Kaiden nodded fast and Skylar smiled and reached out to pat him on the head.
“Good boy; oh I almost forgot your father said I could work you till your nothing but bones of course I'll wait at least a week that way you get used to waking up at 4 am,” she stated all in one breath.
Kaiden's eyes looked about as big as a golf ball when he heard that; his old man had said nothing about having to work while he was here it was summer break for peets sake.
“Your joking please, say your joking,” he pleaded and pleading was something he rarely ever did, ever.
“Nope, and I know the perfect person to make sure you do your work,” Skylar mused with a evil smile and glent in her eyes.
Kaiden could just see the evil aura surrounding Skylar and could only pray that she would forget.
“Keira's changed a lot so don't comment on her tomboy stage,” Skylar said after a while just as Kaiden closed his eyes and started to relax.
Kaiden waved an okay her way and then the van suddenly stop waking him up as he flung forward in the seat. He looked over to Skylar who smiled as he rubbed the spot where the seatbelt had burned into his skin.
“Where here,”
Kaiden kept his mouth shut. He opened the car door and unhooked his seat belt and stepped onto the dirt road and looked up to the large old manison that Skylar and her family lived in. A large red brick house with a black roof and ivy on the side of the house. The house was huge and old. Kaiden sighed and then walked to the back of the van to grab his stuff so he could get in the house shower and sleep. As he reached the back Skylar opened the back door to the van and then Kaiden felt someone grab his right shoulder and then he grabed that hand and flipped him over his arm.
