Before you flame me- and I know because someone always seems to get offended when you write about the WTC- these are not my thoughts on 9/11. These are the thoughts of the small children, who weren't horrifyed, but instead, just confused.

--

Smoke, rising from the ashes...

it looks horrific, but

when the World Trade Center came down

You'd be surprised at what the little kids said...

Not the orphans,

the ones asking

Why should anyone care?

Don't bombs go off all the time?

Why aren't you upset when bombs go off in other countries?

How is this any different?

And when we told them,

how the people died,

and the tortures they went through,

they would stare blankly

at us and say

I still don't get it

That happens in other countries too

Is it just because a bomb blew up here?

Would you care if it blew up somewhere else?

and then, we though

maybe they were the wise ones

The ones who saw

beyond the deceptions

and the false patriotism

About how we were the victims

but maybe

the others

were victims

too
