Illustrious language fluent in despair
The note that you wrote and left in my care
I know you’ve been hurt, I know you’ve been scarred
I have been too, but I’ve let down my guard
Overcoming obstacles that break us apart
A kiss would be something that would ruin my heart
A whisper, a notion of passion so vast
This passage felt lonely as your shadows were cast
Were you ever right when you told me you knew?
Words that you spoke as my love only grew
I should be ashamed of these thoughts that are wrong
A figure of speech had my soul captive so long
The language of despair spills from your lips
I have ended your pain with my fingertips
It’s wrong to be selfish for your every thought
Now and again; as my spirit was wrought
I’ll tell you I love you if will it conceal your grief
Misery and anguish will encircle relief
The excitement of pain will give you a thrill
Your despair and delight, the cause of the kill.
